Safety & privacy
You're about to upload a photo of your kid to a website you found on the internet. Wanting to know what happens next is entirely fair. Here it is, in plain English.
Your photo
Your photo goes to the AI providers that draw your sticker sheet, and to nobody else. It isn't handed to advertisers or data brokers. It isn't posted anywhere public. It isn't sold.
To draw a character that actually looks like your child, the AI has to look at their face. Our privacy policy describes that as the “extraction and analysis of facial geometry”, which reads a lot scarier than it is. In plain terms: it looks at the photo, works out what your child looks like, and illustrates them. That is the entire job it has been given.
Two things we ask of you in return. If the photo is of a child, uploading it means you're confirming you're their parent or guardian, or that you have their guardian's consent. And stickerme is built for grown-ups to use. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 (16 in some jurisdictions).
- Only the AI that draws it
- Your photo goes to the AI providers that generate your design, and to nobody else. No advertisers, no data brokers, nothing public.
- Never used for training
- Your images are not used by stickerme to train AI models, and we contractually require our AI providers not to use them for training either.
- Never sold
- We never sell, license, or commercially exploit your photographs.
- By default, we don't keep it
- Before the file picker opens, you choose where the photo lives. Keep it on this device is preselected: the photo is stored in your own browser, sent to us each time you make a sheet, used to draw it, and not retained afterwards — so it's there for your next sheet without us holding a copy. Save it to my account is the other option, for when you want the same photo on your laptop; that one we store, only so you can reuse it, and you can delete it from Settings whenever you like.
- Encrypted where it sits
- Stored images are encrypted at rest with AES-256, and access is limited to authorised personnel.
Change your mind about a design? Images associated with deleted designs are removed within 30 days. Photos you chose to save are listed in Settings under Uploaded Photos, and deleting one there removes it from our servers for good. The long version of all of this is in our privacy policy.
The design
Every sheet is drawn from scratch for your photo and your prompt. What comes back is an original illustration of your kid, rather than a stock template with their face dropped into it.
And you're not stuck with the first one. Change the scene, reword it and run it again. Each generation uses a credit, and you see the full sheet before ordering prints, which is just as well, because our agents don't always nail it first go.
What you can upload and generate is set out in our terms.
The sticker
Once you're happy with a sheet, we print it at 300 DPI using dye-sublimation on premium laminated PET sticker paper. Every sheet gets an automatic lamination overcoat, which is what makes the stickers waterproof, scratch-resistant and fade-resistant.
- 300 DPI dye-sublimation
- Printed on premium laminated PET sticker paper.
- Laminated overcoat
- Waterproof, scratch-resistant and fade-resistant.
- Printed in Sydney
- Every order is printed and shipped from Sydney, Australia.
Your account
Your designs live in your account, and you can clear them out whenever you like. Delete a design from your designs page and it leaves your library; the images that went with it are removed within 30 days.
Want the whole account gone? There's a Delete Account button in Settings that submits a deletion request, or you can email privacy@stickerme.club and we'll do the same. Either way, we process the request within 30 days.
One thing we can't delete: order records. If you've bought stickers from us, Australian tax law requires us to keep those for seven years. Exactly what goes and what stays is spelled out in the privacy policy.
